Ancient records that have come forth the last couple centuries have been a treasure trove of content that both supports canonical scripture texts, as well as bring new ideas forward that support the doctrines of the restoration. Please enjoy this webinar with Jonah Barnes.
Bio: Jonah Barnes climbed out of a meteorite in the countryside in Kansas, USA. Historians estimate it was about 40 years ago. He can run faster than a speeding bullet and leap entire buildings in a single bound. Jonah moonlights as a masked vigilante crime fighter by night and a happily married father of six children by day. He lives in Ridgefield, Washington where he runs a wholesale food company and works as a producer for Ward Radio, a faithful LDS podcast.
Jonah is the author of Turning Little Hearts and I Am My Ancestors, two books that help connect children with their ancestry. His upcoming book, The Keystone’s Keystone, will be published this fall and explores the extent to which rediscovered apocryphal texts support the authenticity of the Book of Mormon.

Saw you on Ward Radio! Thank you for doing this. This looks really interesting! I have never been really good at studying the scriptures, probably no one ever really teaches you how or where to start. I see that this could be helpful for people like me.
What is the content difference between a free and a paid subscription? Also what are the different subscription options available? Is there a couple (discount for more than one subscription) or family plan? I don’t imagine you can share since each person’s study is personal with notes. Again, thank you!
Hi Lori, I will absolutely help you learn to study the scriptures. Here’s an outline of what you’ll learn through the tutorials and trainings. https://scripturenotes.com/how-to-study-the-scriptures
As for the difference between pro and free, all content outside the standard works is pro. We are working on family plans, otherwise everyone would keep the same notes in the same account.
For anyone reading this, family plans are now active in the software.
I saw you on Ward Radio! My new favorite youtube channel. I wish you would do a podcast or weekly series dedicated to studying the apocrypha alon side the Book of Mormon. I would pay hard earned $$’s for it. :) I’m still learning how to use scripture notes, but love it so far.
I would love to do that if I had the time to produce it. Maybe I can do something piecemeal… I’ll think about it. In the meantime, help spread the word about Scripture Notes and as the subscriber base increases I can do more things like that.
Oh this webinar is so fun! Thank you for all this explanation!!
Curse you Jonah Barnes. Knowing now all the changes that have been made, I am a madwoman pouring through verses looking for references in the NT to prophets or their sayings that can’t be traced in the OT. I’m just in the first chapter of Matthew and have found several.
MUA HA HA!
When I was in Athens Greece this year they had a brass square plate on display at the acropolis museum with writing on it dated from 500 BC. Interesting
