When we want to learn a subject we should closely examine what the scriptures and prophets have said about it. A very careful reading, and putting related verses next to each other, will reveal things we wouldn’t otherwise notice. Asking questions and seeking those answers, we can find insights into the topic that are hidden and just waiting for us to discover them.
This weekend I was asked to participate in an online conference called Awake and Ascend, put on by Meghan Farner who runs the Latter-Day Disciples podcast. This was my presentation on mighty prayer and the word of God.
This subject and video are revelation to me. I have recently had a very strong spiritual experience but also have had some clinical depression for which I am taking medication, so I am feeling better. I have noticed my spiritual life has not had the impact or power I have enjoyed in the past and just last night I was praying about this topic and did a search with scripturenotes.com on mighty prayer. Then this morning this was in my email inbox. I am reading the Book of Mormon backwards and had recently come across the Brother of Jared and his prayer. I had pondered on John, Nephi and Moses and their BIG revelations and had them on my mind as I fell asleep. The content of this lesson/video is exactly what I needed and will enjoy delving into all of this deeply. I am using scripturenotes very often and have actually made collection notes on some of the subjects you have, including the unpardonable sin. I am enjoying your creation of this wonderful tool, so thank you so much!
